New tools are emerging to help keep journalists and their sources safe, but emerging technologies have also exposed journalists to new forms of harassment and abuse. CNTI’s work probes the ways technology can be used to both aid and harm and provides insight into ways the news industry and policymakers can improve journalists’ safety.
